On September 12, during a visit to Germany, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs and held separate meetings with Robert Hermann, CEO of the German Federal Foreign Trade and Investment Office (GTAI); Volker Treier, Executive Vice President of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) and Chief Executive of Foreign Trade; and Tanja Gönner, Director General of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), respectively in Berlin. He promoted the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He also exchanged views on such topics as Chinese-German economic and trade relations, China’s ongoing efforts to expand its opening-up in a bid to attract foreign investment, the implementation of Ten Partnership Actions for China-Africa Cooperation, strengthening cooperation in third-party markets, the EU’s anti-subsidy probe into electric vehicle imports from China, and the 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE).
