From September 13 to 16, Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Qatar and met with Sultan Al-Khatir, Undersecretary of Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Mohammed Al Kuwari, First Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Liao Jiajun, CEO of Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), promoting the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee. They also exchanged views on enhancing China-Qatar economic and trade cooperation in key industries and sectors.
During the visit, Yu Jianlong attended and addressed the China-Qatar Economic and Trade Exchange Conference. He stated that the CCPIT will fully leverage its role as a bridge and belt, utilizing multilateral and bilateral business cooperation mechanisms, as well as platforms such as the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), to deepen pragmatic economic and trade cooperation between China and Qatar.
Furthermore, the delegation also paid a visit to Wang Ying, the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Qatar, and visited Qatar Free Zones for research.
